It has a lovely nose, expressive, pure, bright and open, with perfumed red plums and a chalky freshness giving it a sense of purity and lift. A serious, broad and textural palate, rich and filled with spiced plum fruit, with a peppery energy through the middle. There is plenty of grip, velvety and tightly grained, and bright acidity as well. Substantial, broad, convincing, with a chalky perfume, this is indeed potentially one of the best vintages yet for Teyssier. The élevage will be in 25% new oak.”
