Notes from Producer

Named in honour of founder Eric Brand, one of the original ‘Blockers’ (landholders who sold their grapes to larger wineries in the 1950s and 60s). Our Blockers Cabernet is one of the icons of our range. Made in classic Coonawarra style, it is the perfect combination of rich fruit, complexity and elegance.

Appearance: Deep garnet red colour.

Nose: Deep dark classic berry fruits of cassis and blackberry accompanied by subtle oak displaying cashew nut and vanilla.

Palate: Intense dark fruits with well integrated cashew nut and vanilla flavours derived from barrel fermentation and maturation. Intense palate with powerful fine grained tannins and a long fine finish.
