Crafted from the oldest Grenache vineyard on the Kalleske farm, planted in 1935, the Kalleske Old Vine Grenache boasts intensely flavored fruit due to its entirely dry-grown grapes. Fermented warmly in open-top fermenters with gentle hand pumpovers twice daily, the wine undergoes basket pressing before maturing in seasoned hogsheads prior to bottling. This Barossa Grenache is characterized by its intense richness and robustness, offering a plethora of exotic flavors, a layered palate, harmonious balance, and a solid structure.
