Peter Lehmann Portrait Pinot Grigio
Peter Lehmann Portrait Pinot Grigio
Tasting notes from the producer:
Established in 1979, Peter Lehmann Wines stands as a symbol of unparalleled diversity, uniqueness, and quality, sourcing grapes from over 800 meticulously tended vineyards spanning all 14 sub-regions of Barossa. Our commitment to nurturing relationships with growers grants us access to the region's finest grapes, reflected in the exceptional quality of our wines. The Portrait range epitomizes Peter Lehmann's original pledge to growers: crafting wines that authentically express the Barossa's character. Together, these wines offer a portrait of the region through its traditional varietals. The grapes were harvested early, gently crushed, chilled, and promptly separated from the skins to preserve delicacy. Following cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matured for about six weeks on yeast lees before clarification and bottling.
On the palate, this wine embodies the classic Grigio style, boasting crisp acidity and a refreshing, soft finish abundant with pear and aniseed notes.
