Nestled on the Derwent River, Cornelian Bay is where our mother Helen grew up frolicking in the cool Tasmanian waters. As a proud Tasmanian, our Mother always wanted to produce wines from her home state to honour her heritage. This wine is a reminder of the importance of family and the special bond between our family and Tasmania.

TASTING NOTES
Deep garnet with violet flashes, showcasing medium intensity. The bouquet offers a symphony of raspberry, wild strawberry, a touch of forest undergrowth, suede, and a gentle smokiness. There's an intriguing mineral essence reminiscent of rain-kissed slate, intertwined with hints of fresh pine and a subtle graphite nuance. The aromatic profile is complex and engaging, inviting further exploration. On the palate, it's quintessentially Pinot Noir, featuring a medley of red berries and dark chocolate, accented by nuances of underbrush tannins and delicate lavender notes. The tannins are well-balanced, supporting a lush, sweet fruit core. The careful oak integration emphasizes the wine's fruit-driven character with a whisper of Tasmanian peat smoke. This wine stands out for its sophistication, aligning with the more adventurous side of Tasmanian Pinot Noirs, while
maintaining a graceful balance.

REGION
Sourced from the Coal River Valley region where the cool climate terroir produces classic and prestigious Pinot Noir.
