The grapes used to create Bird in Hand Merlot were handpicked, crushed and then pumped over. The juice was left on skins, pressed and then matured in French oak barriques.

Appearance: Deep crimson.

Nose: Vibrant scents of mulberry, plum, cinnamon and spice.

Palate: Rich and structured, brimming with fleshy plum and spice flavours. These wonderful characters combine to provide a fine and silky texture. The finish is lengthy and persistent, marked by firm tannins.

This elegant Merlot can be cellared for a few years from vintage. It tastes amazing with a boned duck stuffed with apricot and pistachio.
