Bremerton Fiano
Bremerton Wines and Bremerton Vineyards form a pivotal part of Bremerton Vintners Pty Ltd, a family-owned enterprise under the stewardship of the Willson family, situated within the Langhorne Creek region of South Australia. Langhorne Creek boasts a distinctive setting, nestled upon the fertile soil of the Bremer River floodplain. Renowned as a cool climate locale, it enjoys relative freedom from diseases and consistently yields high-quality fruit.
The region benefits from fresh, cool evening breezes emanating from Lake Alexandrina, fostering a microclimate characterized by mild to warm summer days and cool nights. This climatic balance nurtures the grapes, ensuring a prolonged ripening period that yields intensely flavorful fruit sought after for its cool climate attributes.
Langhorne Creek's viticultural heritage traces back to the 1850s when Frank Potts, an English shipwright, established vineyards in the area. Over time, the district expanded to encompass 450 hectares of vineyard land. Since 1990, ongoing expansion initiatives have expanded the region to approximately 6,000 hectares, making it the second-largest grape-growing region in South Australia.
