Egerton (Ege) established a prominent presence in McLaren Vale, initiating his vineyard in McLaren Flat in 1947 following his service in the RAAF during the war. Wine production commenced under the Dennis label in 1971, with winemaking and management transitioning to his son Peter in 1979. The vineyard boasts plantings of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc. Its wines are exported to the UK, Canada, and Vietnam.
